Plants - Milkweed Seed Balls
Help conserve the monarch butterfly population by planting common milkweed with these milkweed seed bombs!
Monarchs and other pollinators are part of a natural food web and ecosystem. Milkweed plants are the only source of food for the monarch caterpillar, but these plants are rapidly disappearing. Providing enough natural habitats and species (like milkweed, for monarchs) is essential in maintaining a balanced food web that is critical for our own food system and the overall health of our ecosystem.
Throw these seed bombs into vacant lots, waste spaces, or plant in your garden or containers to grow milkweed for the monarchs and help return native biodiversity to the land!
Each bag contains 5-6 seed "bombs" made out of a mix of soil, compost, clay, and pre-cold stratified Asclepias syriaca (common milkweed) seeds. Each "bomb" contains 10-30 seeds that are ready to be planted.
