Garden Makers Program

The Garden Makers Program is a fun way to get involved in local gardens and kitchens, to learn about growing and help create unique products in support of community gardens in Niagara.

Ways to Get Involved:

Garden Program – help out in local gardens with planting, maintenance and harvesting using sustainable organic methods and learn to harvest plants that will be used to create products for market. New to gardening? Not a problem - we’re here to help you learn.

Kitchen Program - help in the kitchen transform garden produce into unique food and bodycare products for market. You’ll learn about food preserving, packaging, safe food handling and product development.

Markets – help share our project and products with customers at local farmer’s markets.

Benefits to participating in the program:

  • Meet new like-minded people
  • Gain employment skills & experience
  • Develop self-reliance by learning gardening and food skills
  • Help support your community
