Garden Makers Program

The Garden Makers Program is a fun way to get involved at our local farm and in our certified kitchen, to learn about growing and help create unique products.

Ways to Get Involved:

Garden Program – help out at our local farm in Vineland with planting, maintenance and harvesting using sustainable organic methods and learn to harvest plants that will be used to create products for market.

New to gardening? Not a problem - we’re here to help you learn.

Kitchen Program - help in the kitchen transforming garden produce into unique food and body care products for market. You’ll learn about food preserving, packaging, safe food handling and product development. 

Benefits to participating in the program:

  • Develop self-reliance by learning gardening and food skills

  • Have fun!

NOTE: If you have a low income, are unemployed, or if your main source of income is ODSP, OW, CPP/QPP, OAS, GIS, EI, WSIB, CTB, CERB, you may be eligible to receive an honorarium for your volunteer participation in the garden or kitchen.
